The problem

In a production environment, some safeguards were being bypassed to work faster. Alerts alone did not explain recurrence, context or causes.

Understanding the process

Machine states and events were linked to operator, machine, product, cycle and stage to identify recurring patterns.

The solution

A workflow brings alerts to managers. The response distinguishes behaviour, training, process and maintenance. Where needed, it includes panel-based e-learning, a questionnaire, a pass threshold, tracking and on-the-job coaching.

Operational value

An alert becomes an intervention process: context helps determine the most appropriate response.

The evolution

When digital training is not enough, the path continues with on-the-job coaching.
